New Patient Visits
As a new patient you will schedule two appointments. The first appointment will be 45 minutes, where Dr. Prego will elicit a full picture of each patient, including the presenting conditions and health concerns, medical history, diet, lifestyle, and other health habits.
Also, bring in any prescription medications, over the counter drugs and/or vitamins and supplements that you are currently taking, as well as any labs that you have had done in the past year. Dr Prego will also be able to answer any questions you may have at this time.
The second appointment will be 30 minutes, and less than 1 week after the first appointment. This will give Dr. Prego the time to create a plan is specifically tailored to you and your concerns. In this part Dr. Prego will go over the initial plan with you in detail, and answer any additional questions you may have.
For best results, please download the New Patient Intake Forms, fill them out, e-mail or fax them back to Dr. Prego at drprego@doctorprego.com or 631-930-3963 at least 2 days before your appointment. Bring the originals with you to your appointment.
Established Patients
These visits last about 30 minutes and are mainly to follow-up on and review progress made. At these visits changes may be made. Also, new issues or acute conditions can be addressed.
Acute New Patient Visit
If needed, Dr. Prego will see a new patient with an uncomplicated acute condition without an initial visit. Time for this visit will be about 45 minutes, depending on the condition.
Free 15 minute Consult
Dr. Prego offers a 15 minute consultation as an opportunity for those curious about Naturopathic Medicine and wondering whether Dr. Prego’s approach will be beneficial for them. He will answer general questions, but will not perform any evaluative services, nor will he provide any form of therapy.
